When to use a professional recovery lab

Physical failure

Clicking, grinding, dropped or damaged drives, power failures and devices not detected by the system may need laboratory work.

SSD and flash

TRIM, controller failures and encryption can complicate recovery. Avoid experimenting when data is valuable.

NAS and RAID

Do not initialise, rebuild or change disk order on a failed array. Document its configuration and seek specialist assessment.
